I have a little understanding about labor code here in the Philippines, but what I am aware of, is that we don't have anti discrimination for sexual preferences neither the law that prohibits discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age and other characteristics, and this results to companies that doesn't have gay friendly nondiscrimination and anti-harassment policies, like here in the company that I'm currently working for. (ashamed)
Just witness an arrant display of discrimination. One "trans-gender" was sent home because she wasn't wearing the proper attire for men which is formal (long sleeves, neck tie) instead she was wearing formal for women,(nice top with mid rib coat, slacks and high heels). What's the difference? I see her as decent Person in her attire. I cant see the logic?!
It's quite disturbing, despite of the "people like us" (3rd sex) are the ones who excel in every fields (entertainment, corporate, sales, business, etc.), still, some people discriminate us. Its excruciating how other people treat us. Us who chose to be different, us who was fighting for acceptance.
Why don't we look at a person as a person regardless of sexual preference, religion, race , and age......
Imagine one day you woke up, and you find out that the world just lost it's beauty and half of its population, that means we all flew to mars.
..."This is a wake up call for employers around the country - without commitments to fairness and equality for all employees they risk losing talented employees and job candidates," [Kevin Cathcart, Executive Director at Lambda Legal]
This was the first blog I ever posted. When I was working as QA in one of the well known call center in Ortigas that handles Timeshare, that was three years ago if I am not mistaken. I wrote this blog out of anger, after writing it I felt calmness. Indeed writing is one good way of releasing stress or any negative vibs in your system. I'll do this frequently...I'll try.

hi dodong.. yung mga anti-discrimination law eh bill pa lang.. all of it are still pending so hindi pa tlga naeenforce.. i hate those people din na nagdidiscrimate based on your preferences in life like if you're gay or lesbian or bi or whatsoever.
